Z/1 Unaweep Sandals by Chaco go the distance
If you are looking for a pair of sandals, you really must look at Chaco. I’ve been sporting a pair of their Z/1 Unaweep Sandals now for a couple months, and I love the construction and the comfort. With dozens of styles and colorways to choose from, Chaco is great place to start. You can even design your own.
The Z/1 Unaweep sandal is an open toe design with no toe-loop. There’s a single buckle and the adjustable straps are nothing short of ingenious. Want them tight? A couple pulls and they are strapped on tight. Want them loose, a simple pull and they are loose. I’ve got mine adjusted to the perfect blend of both, so they slip on easily but stay on with no movement.
They’ve got nice thick soles with something called the LUVSEAT with a slip resistant diamond pattern so your foot stays put. The thickness of the sole means you won’t feel anything as you comfortably walk over rocks or stones. The deep tread in the underside of the Vibram rubber sole garners maximum traction.
Most of their models come in either toe-loop or no toe-loop options and they even have a covered toe style shoe/sandal for those activities requiring closed toe shoes.
Pick your style, pick your color, and enjoy a really comfortable sandal. See all the styles here at the Chaco website. And, if they ever wear out, the can be ReChaco’d. They’ve got a monthly giveaway as well.
