Don’t let the fun stop when the sun goes down. All you need is decent illumination and you can capture action at night as well as in the daytime. The [Qudos Action] is just such a light. Tiny but powerful, this little package puts out an incredible amount of light.
With three Cree LED’s, the Qudos Action puts out a blazing 440 lumens at peak power, but it has all sorts of other settings as well for longer battery life.
Only weighing 150 grams, this is so light you’ll probably keep it in your camera bag at all times. I charge mine the night before an event (charges in 5-6 hours) and as a low power ambient light boost, I can shoot with it for about four hours.
The Qudos Action comes with a GoPro bracket mount as well as a cold shoe/tripod adapter for use with DSLR’s and some camcorders. It’s bright enough that often I’ll leave my big video lights behind and just use this in conjunction with a white umbrella for a quick setup. With its 5000k temperature, it’s a perfect daylight replacement without the need for filters.
Outdoors or under water, this light just keeps going. It’s rated waterproof to 40 meters. The marine grade aluminum case can definitely handle the elements with an IP68 rating.
