If you have an old laptop without Wi-Fi, this is a perfect solution. If you’ve got a desktop computer without a Wi-Fi card, it’s ideal. Or, if you have a newer laptop with Wi-Fi and your network card goes kerfluzle, this is also a perfect solution. The Kinivo WID340 300Mbps Dual Band Wireless N USB adapter is the perfect answer.
Basically this is a Wi-Fi adapter, the size of a lipstick tube, and it plugs into any available USB port on your computer. Load the drivers from the mini CD and you’ve got a functioning WiFi enabled computer.
I’ve tried it at home and on the road and I get just as robust a signal from the Kinivo as I do from my latest Wi-Fi enabled Yoga 13 Ultrabook. It connects to 2,4GHz and 5GHz networks, and is compatible with Windows 8.1, 8, 7 and Vista.
If you don’t have Wi-Fi now – this is the least expensive and easiest way to get it instantly that I’ve come across. See the specs below or check their website.
