When you are enjoying the great outdoors, it’s always nice to have plenty of room to spread out refreshments or your world’s best buffet. The trick is, where do you find a portable table that can go anywhere you go and be stable enough on sand, dirt, grass, etc.?
Alps Mountaineering Guide Table
The Guide Table from Alps Mountaineering (SKU# 8352003) is about as big a table and as versatile a table as I’ve come across for just such a situation. With a top surface of 22” x 61” and adjustable heights from 30” to 42”, this table will function well for many potential uses.
Set at 36”, it’s standard kitchen counter top height, so it’s very comfortable to work at. The easy to clean vinyl top is great whether you’re cleaning vegetables or cleaning fish.
Set at 42”, this would be standard bar height, so stools or standing are appropriate. For a typical tailgating party, this would be an ideal height for serving drinks or getting appetizers.
Changing heights is simply a matter of extending the tubing above the self-leveling feet. Spring retainers pop out at the three abovementioned heights.
Transporting it to and from your destination is also easy enough as it comes in a compact (8”x9”x31”) carrying case. At 25 lbs., it’s not the lightest, but I’ll happily carry a couple more pounds for the size and versatility it provides.
