Nobody would argue that cooking food on your barbeque grill imparts a little something extra that makes the food irresistible. But with winter hanging on, it takes a special breed of hero to bundle up and go stand in the freezing cold to barbeque dinner….until now.

Smoke-less Indoor Grill

Philips Smoke-less Indoor Grill

The Smoke-less Indoor Grill from the Philips Avance Collection is the answer to your dreams. Ultimate simplicity meets smokeless cooking which equals a grill that can be used on any countertop or table without special ventilation.

The operation is so simple – anyone can take up grilling and be assured of success.  Simply plug in the grill, allow the barbeque grate to pre-heat for 10 minutes and place your food on the grill. Your food is cooked by infrared heat elements on the sides of the unit. Flip once during the cooking process, then serve and enjoy.

We’ve experimented with both pork chops and chicken and both were amazingly juicy, tender and more importantly, flavorful. “Some of the best chicken breasts I’ve ever grilled,” was one of my favorite comments.

Two grills for variety

With model HD6372, you actually get two separate grill surfaces – one for delicate vegetables and the heavier grate for your meats.  The heavier one requires 10 minutes to preheat while the other only requires 5 minutes.

Taking the food off the grill, it’s impossible to tell the food was cooked inside.  You’ll get grill marks just like cooking outside – without the accompanying pneumonia.

The settings are super simple as well – OFF – WARM – ON. That’s it – no adjustments needed. It always cooks at a steady 446°F which produces a reputed 80% less smoke.  The high intensity infrared heating elements quickly sear your meat – sealing in the juices.

I actually only saw one small whiff of smoke during the entire prep. The warm setting will keep food warm after cooking if you aren’t ready to serve immediately.

Cleanup is a snap as well.  Pop the grill surface and the drip tray in the dishwasher and merely wipe down the rest of the interior with a damp rag. The grill is non-stick and cleans quite easily.

The grill also comes with a cookbook and some delicious looking recipes.  We’re picking up ingredients to try a couple of them this weekend.
