Just because you’re traveling, doesn’t mean you need to give up a good salad. Heck, how about all those fruit and vegetable stands you pass while you are on that classic roadtrip?  Now, with the portable, manual Pull’n Slice, you can serve up those fresh veggies in no time.

If salads are as much a favorite with you as they are with me, you’re forever fixing them…and they take time.  Slicing all those veggies along with the lettuce can take a major part of lunch prep time.  Until now.

I just started using the Chef’n Pull’n Slice Box Mandolin for salad prep and I’ve got to say it’s been amazing.  Without electricity, I can still shave a ton of time off the preparation of my salads and appetizers.

With a selection of blades conveniently stored within itself, you can pick the type slice you want, and be slicing in seconds.  I’ve found that the thick slice blade works well for all my standard salad fixings.  Lettuce, celery, green onions, mushrooms…they are all work wonderfully without ever having to change the blade.

To save ever more time, do as I do and slice the romaine, celery and green onions all at once. The opening is large enough that I can grasp them all together at the same time and slice away. Instant salad.

For fancier trays, I might use the other blades, but 95% of my slicing is perfect with just the one.   The one exception is waffle fries.  I saw them in their ad but couldn’t figure out how to do them…until now.

When the prep is over

An appliance is really only a time-saver if the clean-up is easy, and this cleans up beautifully.  First of all, all the veggies drop into the box as they are sliced, so there’s no countertop clean-up necessary. Secondly, the slicing blade just lifts right out and box opens up for quick rinsing under the faucet.  Clean-up is done in a snap.

Small enough to pack along in any camper or RV, this is one appliance you’ll never want to leave at home.
