With Christmas just ten days away, shoppers were crowding the Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem, PA.
Located adjacent to the decommissioned steel blast furnaces of Bethlehem Steel, this area has been converted to a local center of crafts and the performing arts. Over 200 vendors from 20 different states are displaying their wares for shoppers this season.
Outside, glassblowers were creating delicate Christmas ornaments. Inside wood carvers were turning wooden toys. People were also creating their own hand-painted scarfs in long liquid-filled tanks.
This craft market was recognized by Travel and Leisure Magazine as one of the top holiday markets in the world.
