Keeping your phone or tablet charged can be job one as your devices start to age. If you use your device a lot, you need a refresh to make it through many days. But, if you’re on the go, off the grid, or biking/hiking the hills, you aren’t going to find anywhere to recharge. Scout Max (by intelliARMOR) to the rescue – with 10,000mAhr of charge, and only slightly larger than my Samsung S8, it’s ready to go anywhere.
I’ve never seen such a sleek 10,000mAh battery pack before and it’s got some awesome features that make it a must-have for your travel bag, backpack or purse.
Gotta get in on this A.S.A.P. it’s only $19.99 for the first backers on Indiegogo.
4 Ways to Charge
If you are looking for compactness and neatness, you probably don’t like carrying multiple charging cords and adapters for all the different devices you might own. With Scout, that can be a thing of the past. Scout comes with three built-in, pull-out-when-needed cords to cover 99% of your charging needs.
It comes with attached cables for:
- Lightning devices
- Micro-USB devices
- USB-C devices
Two fold out from either side and the USB-C pulls out from the top. When finished charging, they conveniently snap back into place – unseen to all but the most astute observer.
On the chance you need to charge some exotic device with a special USB cable, you’re covered there as well. On the bottom of the Scout, there’s an additional USB-A female port for you to plug any of your cables into.
All three cables and the USB-A auxiliary port are rated for 5V/2.1A so no slow charging issues here. Multiple devices can be charged simultaneously.
2 Ways to Recharge
As handy as the built-in cables are, I just love the fold out 110-240V 0.15A plug for recharging. Taking up no space whatsoever, just a flip of 90 degrees and it pops out whenever you want to recharge in a standard 110v wall plug.
Want to recharge on the go from your car or your solar panel? There’s a micro-USB port in the bottom of the unit that will allow you to recharge that way as well.
Max Power
With the 10,000mAh of charge stored by the Scout Max, you can get multiple recharges for most of today’s cellphones. My Samsung S8 takes just 3,000 mAh, so I can recharge it completely three times. It will recharge iPhone X almost four times with its 2,658mAh battery.
I recharged my completely exhausted Samsung S8 from zero to 99% in just over 90 minutes.
And, with four LED lights, you’ll be able to track how much capacity you still have left.
All this plus good looks too
If all this wasn’t good enough, the Scout is a beautiful piece of technology that is nicely textured and sleek enough to fit comfortably in a pocket or a bag. You’ll hardly notice you’re carrying it as it only weighs a mere three ounces.
Pitch the bulky batteries you bought last year, pitch the cables and the assortment of wall plugs – you only need the Scout in your bag for a weekend full of activity, whether at the beach or on a mountaintop.
