Want to get in on a Cyberpunk startup? Here’s your chance to not only help a startup in Kiev, but also you get to help design the knife of your dreams.
The Inertix Halo Knife
Dreamed up by Alexander Krivosheya, not only is he a designer and metal expert and inventor, he is also an artist and a gamer. Combine all those and it’s easy to see why he’s got lots of ideas as to what the ideal knife might look like.
Go to his website http://cyberinertix.com and you can help him pick the components that you think would make the ideal knife. After 2077 people make their selections, he says he’ll start production.
Choose from:
- Length
- Handle material
- Blade style
- Blade finish
and then you’ll get a computer-generated picture of what your knife could look like.
I’ve actually received one of his prototypes, and I’ll admit the workmanship is first-rate. Mine is the 100mm length, titanium handle with a gloss Tanto blade.
It’s not what I would have ever expected for a pocket knife, but then I didn’t really know what to expect a Cyberpunk would carry. Would I carry it in my pocket? No, but then again, I’m not your normal Cyberpunk.
To extend the blade you can either push the big “X” on the back, or give it a really pronounced flip of the wrist. The blade will extend and be held in place by the retainer on the opposite side.
When you want to retract the blade, you need to push the retainer from the back to unlatch it, and then you can pull the “X” – restoring the blade into its retracted position. Be aware: It’s not enclosed, so there is always the possibility of it catching on something.
Visit his site for lots more information about his vision and help him decide how to proceed.
