I’ve enjoyed riding e-Bikes since they first came out. But, until I rode the Cycrown CycVerve I was always concerned about hills. That’s where you need the additional power to assist you, and that’s where typical e-bikes let you down. Not with the CycVerve.

There’s a big hill in our development where I used to have to walk my previous bike. It just didn’t have the torque to get us to the top. Much to my delight, the CycVerve barrels right up at speeds from 18 to 20 m.p.h. Wunderbar!!!

The CycVerve is a fat-tire electric bike that blends power, stability, and comfort into one impressive ride. The build quality is impressive, with wonderfully feathered welds and a smooth, luxurious-looking paint job. I love the unique green color.

CycVerve fat tire e-bike

Featuring a 1,000 W peak motor, it climbs hills and accelerates smoothly through five different speed ranges. Big 26″ × 4″ fat tires give it exceptional balance and grip, whether you’re on paved streets or light off-road trails. When you have to suddenly leave a paved surface and drive over grass, the big tires take the change in stride. Designed with a step-thru aluminum frame, it’s easy to mount and sturdy enough for long, dependable rides.

Let’s get into the details

Motor & Speed
Thanks to its 1,000 W peak motor, you can start quickly and breeze past any hills that you encounter. I’ve ridden a dozen other e-bikes, and nothing takes the hills like CycVerve. On the flat, you’ll easily cruise at speeds up to 28 MPH, which helps you keep up with traffic in case you are in a busy urban environment.

You have three options with the CycVerve. At speed setting 0, you have no power – just pedal like an ordinary bike. But in the other five speed settings, 1 through 5, you can pedal and you’ll get a boost of power so you never need to strain yourself. But the third option is to use the thumb throttle, and then you don’t need to pedal at all. Just sit back and enjoy the breeze.

Battery & Range
The big rechargeable battery gives you up to 60 miles of pedal-assist travel on a single charge. The more you pedal, obviously, the longer the battery will last. Charging takes around 4–5 hours, similar to letting your new tablet fully recharge overnight.

Comfort, Stability & Control
Those wide, fat tires act like cushions for the ride, absorbing bumps in the road, and thankfully, it comes with a wide enough seat that is comfortable for any long rides. The front suspension fork with lockout helps even more on unpredictable paths. Hydraulic disk brakes make stopping smooth—especially helpful when you’re traveling at higher speeds.

Easy Step-Thru Frame & Fit
The step-thru design means you don’t have to lift your leg high to get on – perfect if flexibility or balance is a concern. You can adjust the padded saddle up or down with a quick, no-tools-needed clamp until it feels just right for your height.

Helpful Extras
The LCD display shows your speed, battery life, and pedal-assist level, similar to a car’s dashboard, so you always know what’s going on. There’s also a USB port to charge devices during your ride. Front and rear lights add safety when you ride early or late.

Ease of Use & Accessibility

Everything arrives semi-assembled with a helpful tool kit. The packing was sturdy and there wasn’t a mark or scratch anywhere when I unpacked it. The instructions were pretty good for assembling the bike, but the instruction sheet for adding the back rack and fenders, was a joke. It showed all the parts, but gave no clue in what order to assemble them. If you order those accessories, drop me a note and I’ll share my assembly method.

One other consideration is a bike rack for your car if you plan to travel with it. I couldn’t use my old bike rack because it had no crossbar to hang it on. Also, the bike weighs close to 80#, which would have been too heavy for my old rack. After trying a rack from Harbor Freight, which didn’t work, I settled on one from Polestar, which works perfectly. It’s set to hold two bikes, but I only needed one, so I set it up that way, and it’s a breeze to use.

Value for Money

With U.S. pricing around $950 presently, the CycVerve gives high-end features, fast motor, great range, comfort, but without a premium price. The included 2-year extended warranty adds more coverage than I was expecting.

Real-Life Scenarios for Active Seniors
