Peak Design<\/a> is at it again and has another amazing Kickstarter campaign underway<\/a>. \u00a0You know the routine\u2026get your order in while it\u2019s still in the fundraising stage and you a) help an entrepreneur and b) get rewarded with the best prices going. This one\u2019s surely worth a look.<\/p>\n

Some time ago, Peak Design came out with a product called the [easyazon_link asin=”B00CBPIRYS” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”thetra03-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]Leash[\/easyazon_link].\u00a0 It was a super lightweight, but super durable, thin shoulder strap with a pair of quick release clips for lightweight cameras. I put a pair of the anchors on my [easyazon_link asin=”B00EZAYD4A” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”thetra03-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]point and shoot camera[\/easyazon_link]\u00a0and another pair on my [easyazon_link asin=”B00B2NMIXQ” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”thetra03-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]little camcorder[\/easyazon_link].\u00a0 Depending on which I wanted to use, I could easily switch the strap from one to the other in a matter of seconds. It was super handy.<\/p>\n

BUT, after I got spoiled on this easy way of carrying my various lightweight cameras, I began to want the same convenience for my DSLR\u2019s. I must not have been the only one, because now you can get the same convenience for larger cameras as well.<\/p>\n

The Slide<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Two big innovations separate this strap from the gazillion other ones on the market. First, the super-convenient anchor links that attach the strap to the camera.\u00a0 No more threading your strap back and forth through those little loops that most straps require. And secondly, Peak Design has come up with a quick-adjusting lever to let you decide how low you want to carry your camera.<\/p>\n

When moving around, you\u2019ll probably want it higher and out of your way \u2013 but when you are waiting for your shot, you\u2019ll probably want it down around waist level. Easy to change \u2013 just lift, slide and reclamp it. The strap also has a smooth, nylon surface on one side and a non-slip grip strip on the flip side.<\/p>\n
