Rejoice, just a short boat or plane ride away is the new &#8220;Put-in-Bay&#8221; community sign in South Bass Island State Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Unveiling of the Put-in-Bay Community Sign in South Bass Island State Park\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-1UBYUw1zQw?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Wendy Chambers, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, &#8220;The&nbsp;community&nbsp;has raised the funding for the new&nbsp;sign&nbsp;through&nbsp;donations and the sale of bricks to be installed at a later date around the base of the&nbsp;sign.&nbsp; The&nbsp;community&nbsp;sign&nbsp;is a part of the new brand that the Chamber of Commerce launched last year&nbsp;<em>An Every Day Island Getaway.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em>The brand&nbsp;encourages families and empty nesters to come to the island during the week.&nbsp; The logo&nbsp;sign&nbsp;will be a selfie opportunity for families, reunions, weddings and friends to take pictures&nbsp;of themselves with&nbsp;the&nbsp;sign.&nbsp; This&nbsp;sign&nbsp;will become iconic for the island&nbsp;community, the state park sunsets and to the visitors coming to the island.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dougbardwell.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/PIBSign1024-900x506.jpg?resize=900%2C506&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Put-in-Bay selfie sign for tourists\" class=\"wp-image-105294\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Get more information at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.visitputinbay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.visitputinbay.com\/<\/a> and plan a trip.
