We\u2019ve all been there. You head out to your picnic or campground with everything covered with ice in your cooler. When you get there, everything is floating in icy cold water. End that silliness with the EcoFlow Glacier<\/a>. It\u2019s a portable refrigerator \u2013 a portable freezer \u2013 and a portable icemaker \u2013 all without the melting ice cube mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 37-liter interior capacity can be used as a one-temperature refrigerator or freezer, from -13\u00b0F to 50\u00b0F.\u00a0 Or, the removable (reusable) divider can be unclipped from the lid and inserted into the storage area to create two separate compartments. You can then set a separate temperature for each zone. Make one a freezer compartment and the other a refrigerator \u2013 or maybe set one as a cold refrigerator for canned soft drinks at 44\u00b0F, while the other section might be set at 37\u00b0F to keep your vegetables fresh as long as possible without freezing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Glacier will fit wherever most full-size ice chests fit. It measures 31\u201d by 15\u201d by 18\u201d. Empty, it weighs 50 pounds. The 38-liter capacity means it can hold 60 cans of beer or pop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another nice little touch is that there are a couple of LED lights on either side of the cooler compartments so you can see what you\u2019re grabbing when you open the lid after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unique among portable freezers is the capability to make ice cubes. And it makes them quick.\u00a0 I was getting set after set of 18 bullet-shaped ice cubes every 12 to 13 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Glacier runs on any one of four power sources.\u00a0 It comes with a 110v <\/strong>adapter and cord for use where power is available. It also comes with a 12v<\/strong> cord and plug that works in your car, truck, boat, or RV. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Optional, but you\u2019ll definitely want one, is the plug-in battery. \u00a0(298 Wh of stored power)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With the battery<\/strong>, you can charge up the Glacier ahead of time and it will keep foods cold for up to 40 hours \u2013 according to the manufacturer.\u00a0 My results were actually better. I loaded it with two dozen cans of pop, water, and juice. Forty-eight hours later, I still had 25% power showing, and my beverages were all refreshingly cold at 44 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two other benefits of the plug-in battery: you can use it to power your phone, tablet, laptop, etc., with 100-watt USB-C charging. The other benefit allows you to plug in solar panels<\/strong> for your Glacier and let the sun cool your food for days. How about that?\u00a0 The hot, hot sun will actually cool your food. Cool!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need to keep things cool even longer, consider pairing the Glacier up with one of EcoFlow\u2019s multiple battery power packs. I\u2019ve got two and love them both.\u00a0 The EcoFlow Delta 2<\/a> was my first \u2013 (1kWh \u2013 1800W output). (above)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another option to consider adding when you purchase is the retractable handle and pair of wheels to make it easier to transport. The wheels add another 3-4 inches to the length of the Glacier, but make it much more convenient to move around, and they are easily removable when you don’t need them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the EcoFlow mobile app lets you monitor and operate all your devices from the comfort of your camp chair. Make ice cubes, or change the temperature of your refrigerator and freezer. Check the balance of power in your battery storage pack. It\u2019s easy to set up all your devices to work together from this one app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
