This Tensleep Station 4 tent is probably one of the most flexible tents I\u2019ve seen in some time.\u00a0 There are so many ways to configure it that I lost count while taking photographs of all the options. The rain fly can be pulled down, rolled up, one side up and one side down, pulled out as an awning, and so on and so on. Set up was quite easy, although I forgot one step, which you\u2019ll see in the video.<\/p>\n

Tensleep Station 4 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

If you love to have space when you camp, this tent could be just right.\u00a0 First, you get a 68\u201d head height, and not just at the very peak.\u00a0 Then you get relatively vertical sidewalls, so you can honestly use all 65 square feet of floor space inside the tent.\u00a0 An angled vestibule area (31 more square feet) gives you a shady spot to read or enjoy your morning coffee. Two pockets on each of the vestibule sidewalls will hold your maps or books, and the screened windows will enable cross ventilation if desired.<\/p>\n

Ventilation is one of the main features of this tent, with screens on all sides.\u00a0 The front door is all screen and enables anyone to enter without bending down much at all.\u00a0 (Active seniors will appreciate that.) Both side walls have continuous screening, the full width of the tent.\u00a0 On the back wall, there\u2019s a full size door there as well, but the door is solid (no screen option.)\u00a0 Above the door however, there is a screen clerestory window with a hold-open flap for cross ventilation.<\/p>\n

The front vestibule can be fully extended like an awning, using a couple walking sticks, but you\u2019ll need to supply your own guy ropes for those. The front vestibule can also be left fully open, rolling it up and fastening it to the support pole above. Out back, there\u2019s a mini vestibule, big enough for boots and messy clothes that you don\u2019t want to keep in the tent.<\/p>\n

This is definitely a car camping tent, weighing in at 14 pounds, but it easily fits into the supplied carrying case and folds down to a 5\u201d thick x 15\u201d x 27\u201d package that stores nicely in your trunk.\u00a0 Make sure to order the matching footprint (groundcloth), it\u2019ll keep your tent much cleaner and help protect your tent floor.<\/p>\n
