With a minus 40 degree rating, these Peak Hardcore waterproof boots<\/a> are going to keep your feet comfortable. The exterior of the boot is made of Spandura, which they refer to as a full grain crazy horse leather (whatever that is) \u2013 but bottom line, it\u2019s waterproof all the way up to the top of the tongue. Inside the boot, you\u2019re walking on 6mm of cushiony neoprene insulation with a fleece lining.<\/p>\n

When it comes to walking or hiking, the outsole has good-sized nubs for aggressive grip and traction on any surface. While hiking on the breakwall of Lake Erie, I felt very surefooted.\u00a0 The high sides also provide great support and protection when walking through fields of briars or prickers.\u00a0 It would be an ideal choice for hiking, ice fishing, \u00a0trekking, rock hopping, or any other reason to be outside this winter.<\/p>\n
