The PowerGenius Rotating Outlet Power Center<\/a> from Accell has got to be the most useful 6+2 power strip on the market.\u00a0 With about every other strip I\u2019ve used, there are always a couple outlets that can\u2019t be used because of the plug sizes of many appliances. That\u2019s no longer an issue.<\/p>\n

PowerGenius Rotating Outlet Power Center<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The PowerGenius (P\/N: D080B-025K) has six rotating outlets that can be accessed from left, right or top.\u00a0 Add to that, two USB outlets. And the whole unit is surge protected.<\/p>\n

When you rotate the sections, each is individually selectable, you can align your devices so that the wall wart plugs, your chargers, etc. don\u2019t interfere with each other.\u00a0 Just a little preplanning and you\u2019ll get all six devices plugged in with no wasted outlets. I\u2019ve never been able to do that before.<\/p>\n

Outlets do need to be either left, right or centered to match the outlets hidden behind the plastic.\u00a0 It initially looked like I could rotate them 45\u00b0 as well as 90\u00b0; but, I was wrong.\u00a0 The plugs will only fit inside if fully turned left or right.<\/p>\n

The USB outlets provide 2.4 amps between the two plugs.\u00a0 That will charge two phones or small devices at full speed simultaneously. A full-sized tablet and a smartphone would require more than 2.4 amps, so each device will charge proportionally slower. Accell recommends using factory supplied cables so that your devices charge optimally.\u00a0 (Thin, cheap cables may not carry as much juice, slowing the charging cycle.)<\/p>\n

Noise reduction filters isolate your a\/v equipment from power generation interference, making for a cleaner picture and cleaner sound.<\/p>\n

The whole unit is protected by a 15amp circuit breaker which can be easily reset by just pressing the power switch off and then back on.<\/p>\n
