Our power went out this morning, so it was a perfect time to get out a new Dpower Ultralight Folding Backpacking Camping Stove<\/a> I recently got for testing.<\/p>\n

\"Dpower<\/a><\/p>\n

Made of stainless steel and aluminum alloy,\u00a0 this little camp stove folds to go in a miniature pouch (supplied) but will hold up to 13# according to the manufacturer.\u00a0 Folding the legs out took all of two seconds and screwing on the fuel canister took another eight\u2026and I was ready to start brewing coffee.<\/p>\n

\"Dpower<\/a><\/p>\n

I used my Stanley Coffee Press System<\/a> and loaded it with two pints of water. Turning on the gas valve, I clicked the piezoelectric ceramic igniter button a couple times and I was cooking.<\/p>\n

According to the manufacturer\u2019s description, it would boil two pints of water in five minutes.\u00a0 Well\u2026sort of.\u00a0\u00a0 You could certainly find bubbles starting to form on the bottom of the pan in three minutes, but it was about seven and \u00be minutes before it came to a full, rolling boil.<\/p>\n

\"Dpower<\/a><\/p>\n

Would I recommend it \u2013 absolutely.\u00a0 Works great and is super lightweight.\u00a0 Is is perfect?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 There\u2019s a slight lean to the side opposite the hose attachment, but nothing a slight shim or twig wouldn\u2019t remedy out in the field.\u00a0 What campsite is dead level anyhow?<\/p>\n

The Dpower stove is available exclusively through Amazon<\/a> at this point, and is definitely worth a look.<\/p>\n
