I had to see this thing in action and I got a chance at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago this year.\u00a0 They were making truffle fries and bacon-wrapped dates and with just a hint of oil, they were coming out fabulous. I started experimenting with the\u00a0Philips Airfryer<\/a> about a month ago and it wasn\u2019t demonstration trickery.\u00a0 This thing is the real deal\u2026and it couldn\u2019t be any simpler to use.<\/p>\n Our first experiment was making our own French Fries from scratch. After cutting up the fries, we soaked them in water for 30 minutes and then dried them with a paper towel. We merely brushed the cut up fries with some olive oil and placed them in the basket.\u00a0 Setting the timer for 30 minutes, we came back and shook them every ten minutes or so.
