As life gets more automated and robots get closer to a commonplace reality, it\u2019s not a surprise that you can now have a conversation with your blender. The Blendtec Designer 725<\/a> is the first high speed blender, completely controlled and programmed by an easy to use touchscreen\u2026and it communicates\u2026sort of.<\/p>\n

After each blend, the touchscreen displays how many times it\u2019s been used and then usually dispenses a little message like \u201cNice job on that one\u201d or \u201cThat looks yummy.\u201d\u00a0 You\u2019re inclined to agree, because everything it does \u2013 it does really well. After a certain numbers of blends, you\u2019ll also get reward codes that you can redeem for various prizes.<\/p>\n

The basic unit comes with one of two full-sized blender jars:\u00a0 the WildSide+ or the FourSide. The WildSide+ jar (additional $20) features a slim 5th<\/sup> side for faster and smoother blends. (As seen in this video.) \u00a0Both come with tight fitting rubber lids.<\/p>\n
