If you have portable projection needs, you need to check out Celluon PicoPro projectors<\/span>. Not much larger than your cellphone, you can now carry a projector with you wherever you go. Operated on a rechargeable battery, you\u2019ll be ready to project whenever the opportunity presents itself.<\/p>\n

First thing you\u2019ll notice with this clever projector is that it is laser based<\/strong> \u2013 meaning no focusing \u2013 ever.\u00a0 Aim it at a surface and provided the two are parallel, the projected image is always in focus.\u00a0 Close up or far away, the laser image is sharp as can be. Very impressive.<\/p>\n

If compactness<\/strong> is paramount, you won\u2019t do much better than this. It\u2019s the smallest full feature projector I\u2019ve ever laid hands on. 6\u201dx3\u201dx0.5\u201d is just slightly larger and heavier than my iPhone 6 so it can literally slip in any pocket and be ready wherever you travel.<\/p>\n

\"PicoPro<\/p>\n

Wireless<\/strong> is nice and this offers a couple different possibilities.\u00a0 Connect either via Miracast or DLNA depending on your operating system.\u00a0 It offers both systems. Expect up to 2.5 hours of operation on one charge when projecting wirelessly. Downside to the wireless system from my short time with the projector is that the software looks for audio files, video files or photo files \u2013 only. You also need to log your phone into the wireless network being broadcast by the projector.\u00a0 \u00a0If you want to just project your screen, and everything on it, you\u2019re better off projecting with a wired connection.<\/p>\n

Using HDMI<\/strong> was my favorite way to project. Just plugging the Lightning connector to HDMI cable into my IPhone projected everything I saw on screen.\u00a0 Worked immediately with no setup needed on the iPhone. \u00a0You also get an extra hour of operation this way \u2013 expect 3.5 hours via HDMI cable.<\/p>\n

\"PicoPro<\/p>\n

Colors<\/strong> were bright and true when projected up to six feet away during daylight hours. It will project up to a 250\u201d diagonal picture, but you\u2019ll want the room dark to enjoy it at that size. Up close, you don\u2019t even really need a white screen, the picture will show up nicely even on a light-colored wall. An 80,000:1 contrast range and 30 lumens is not the brightest on the block, but there is definitely a market for this projector. I\u2019m especially looking forward to trying it inside a tent while camping.<\/p>\n

Comes with a flexible stand<\/strong> so the projector can be displayed vertically or horizontally.\u00a0 I\u2019d have preferred that it had a tripod mounting \u00bc\u201dx20 threaded insert, but the short supplied stand is adequate.<\/p>\n
