I\u2019ve been using the DKnight Big Magicbox for the past three weeks now and have to say I\u2019m impressed. Easy to grip, stays in place on any horizontal surface and easy to stow in my backpack, this is making the rounds with me now.<\/p>\n

It pairs quickly with either my laptop or cellphone and has streamed countless hours of Amazon playlists in the last few weeks. Plenty loud, I\u2019ve cranked this up and was able to hear it throughout my almost 2,000 square foot house. Since I use it for both my cellphone and my laptop alternately, I was having trouble switching to the second device. Turns out, if you simply press the minus key \u201c-\u201c and hold for a couple seconds, it will begin scanning for other devices and you\u2019ll be all set. With this connection, you should be able to use the speaker with even the oldest MP3 players on the planet. The manufacturer rates the battery to be 4,000mAh which they claim will last 12 hours. I\u2019ve never had occasion to play mine that long without recharging, but I\u2019ve come close to eight hours with no problem. One disadvantage, there\u2019s no series of LED\u2019s to show the remaining life.<\/p>\n

The design of the speaker has the bass coming out of one end of the cylinder, so you probably aren\u2019t going to want to stand it on end like many of the pictures show.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve heard of reports of limited battery life, but I can only suppose those were early release models. So far, mine is performing fine and is a pleasure to use.
