Get down to the pool at lunchtime to catch some great jerk chicken and corn on the cob.<\/p><\/div>\n

Well, that concludes our \u201cwalking\u201d tour of the property. \u00a0In a nutshell, is the property suitable for seniors? Yes, with some caveats.\u00a0 Most of the property is handicapped accessible, but like any outdoor area, you\u2019ll find areas like the beach which can be tricky.\u00a0 There are also many steps going from one area to another, but in most cases, if you look, you can find ramps or elevators nearby.<\/p>\n

For relaxation, for good dining and for helpfulness from staff \u2013 it rates a big YES. So, c\u2019mon down and enjoy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What you can\u2019t \u201csee\u201d however, is the \u201cspirit\u201d of the property.\u00a0 But, trust me, it lives in each of the people we met throughout the property.\u00a0 From the valets to the registration desk, from the pool cleaners to the pool entertainers, from our bellman to the vacation planners, and from the housekeepers to the food service staff \u2013 everyone \u2013 was friendly and helpful.\u00a0 Not the \u201cforced friendly\u201d attitude shown by so many in the service industry, but, rather, genuine \u201cwe want to make you feel at home\u201d friendly.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I could give a dozen examples, but just one should get the point across. One of the waiters in the buffet offered to fetch a drink from the bar for my wife on our first night there.\u00a0 She ordered a Dark and Stormy, which requires ginger beer.\u00a0 The bar had ginger ale, but not ginger beer.\u00a0 Just not the same.<\/p>\n

He came back from the bar and apologized.\u00a0 Understanding her disappointment, he immediately said, \u201cThere\u2019s a store right outside the gates that sells great ginger beer. If you come back tomorrow, I\u2019ll bring some for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sure enough, the next day, he met us with a small bag and had purchased three bottles of ginger beer \u2013 enough to last the rest of our vacation. Obviously, we gave him a nice tip, but there was never any mention of paying for the drinks.\u00a0 Service like that can\u2019t be bought, but we saw it time and again. Many of the other guests mentioned similar experiences.<\/p>\n

So, yes, seniors.\u00a0 Moon Palace Jamaica Grande is suitable and is calling you to come and enjoy.\u00a0 We\u2019re quite confident you\u2019ll enjoy, but, as always, if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section and we\u2019ll get back to you as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n
