  3. Is it durable enough that it won\u2019t be broken when you need it?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Infray\u2019s Model 1102 LED flashlight<\/strong> <\/a>is pocket size \u2013 comparable in length to a standard ballpoint pen, and only slightly larger in diameter. It comes with a pocket clip, similar to a ballpoint pen, so you can slip it into a pocket or backpack and find it easily when the need arises. It\u2019s powered by two AAA batteries and can use either alkaline or Ni-MH.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    I love the clean white light from the genuine CREE XP-E2 R4 LED bulb. It\u2019s rated at 2.5 times the lifespan of other LED bulbs – 80,000 hours in fact.<\/p>\n

    Back that up with a super durable, IPX4 water resistant, impact resistant, aircraft aluminum with military grade anodizing case with gold contacts, and you\u2019ve got a light that should give you years of great service. It comes with an 18-month warranty.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    You\u2019ll find plenty of uses for this light, with the dual beam width. The front lens twists for either a wide or narrow beam.\u00a0 In the narrow beam mode, all the light is concentrated in a tight circle, ideal for illuminating distant objects 100\u2019 away or more.\u00a0 It the wide beam mode, it\u2019s great for searching an area close to you or doing work nearby.<\/p>\n

    There are two light levels, and it also has a strobe function for defense \u2013 enabling you to temporarily blind an opponent in the dark.<\/p>\n

    Rated at 40 lumens in low brightness mode and 140 lumens in high brightness mode they both seem brighter than that.<\/p>\n

    Switching from one mode to another is not the most intuitive thing, so here is my hint to remember when you purchase your unit.\u00a0 From the \u201cOff\u201d state, press the rubber switch one time for \u201cHi\u201d beam.\u00a0 Again, from the \u201cOff\u201d state, press three times in quick succession for \u201cLow\u201d beam, or press five times in quick succession for \u201cStrobe\u201d function. In any mode, press one more time for \u201cOff\u201d.<\/p>\n

    Infray has been manufacturing for more than 20 years and is ISO9000, ISO14000, and BSCI Certified.<\/p>\n
