If you require nighttime illumination for sport, work, safety forces, hiking, biking, photography or camping; you won\u2019t do much better than the Fenix HL60R \u2013 950 lumen headlamp<\/a><\/strong>. Hands-free light where you want it when you need it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You get up to 950 lumens of illumination, which is good to see 300\u2019 or more, or you can turn it down to five lumens for general nighttime activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a photographer or astronomer, you\u2019ll appreciate\nthe dual red lights, putting out just one lumen, which doesn\u2019t ruin your night vision\nwhile trying to obverse the night skies. A light as tough as nails<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever had a plastic headlamp that was cracked just\nwhen you pulled it out to use it?  Plastic\nisn\u2019t made for the rough and tumble adventures many people take them on.  One drop on the pavement and your\nillumination possibilities could drop to zero. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fenix HL60R is made entirely of metal and appears\nsuper-durable. No flimsy plastic knobs or switches \u2013 just durable aluminum\nhousing and rotating knobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s rated for one-meter impact resistance (primarily for\nthe glass lens) and carries an IPX-8 rating \u2013 good down to two meters\nunderwater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A light to light up a football field<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the maximum lighting setting (Turbo), you could\nconceivably light up the entire length of a football field with its 116 meter\ndistance rating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously, the higher the intensity, the less runtime you\u2019ll\nexperience, but even at its most brilliant, you\u2019ll get 48 minutes of full field\nillumination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On its lowest power setting, which you can see from these photos\nis plenty enough to walk comfortably, the light will last 100 hours,\nilluminating up to 25 meters. At eight hours per night, that\u2019s more than 12 nights\nof use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you just use it in camp until you go to sleep, that would be enough to last a whole month.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

USB rechargeable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unit comes with a 2600mAh rechargeable Li-Ion battery\nwhich is removeable and replaceable just by unscrewing one convenient end cap.\nBut, you\u2019ll probably never need to.  With\nhandy USB charging, you can charge it at home, in the car or even with a portable\nsolar power pack if the power is out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve got better things to do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you need a light at night, chances are you have better\nthings to do than stand there holding a flashlight in one hand. You can wear it\ntwo ways, with just the horizontal strap that circles your head, or with the auxiliary\nadditional strap that goes up and over the top of your head or helmet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s really quite comfortable, yet stays in place. You can\nthen swivel the light up to down to suit your situation.  If you are biking, you\u2019ll probably appreciate\na slight downward direction.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
