Since people can’t travel to the Alps during this COVID-19 pandemic, the people of Switzerland have offered up a visual treat each evening, thinking about the people who can’t visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zermatt Tourism has taken to illuminating the side of the Matterhorn and last night, it was the Stars and Stripes in honor of the United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it stands, the USA, is the country that has been most impacted by the Covid-19 crisis with the highest number of confirmed cases. Our thoughts are with all American people at this unprecedented time. May our message convey solidarity and give you hope and strength. We look forward to meeting again at the foot of the Matterhorn, we are all in this together.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to getting back to Switzerland as well. My last trip there was way too short. It’s a wonderful scenic country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
