Okay, for all those who chose not to or couldn’t get vaccinated, and are now experiencing what’s commonly called “long haul” effects from COVID-19 or one of its variants, you have our prayers and honest sympathy. That is a terrible fate, and we hope someone finds the solution as soon as possible for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, for the vaccinated, and for those who can travel, there seems to be a new trend – “long trips<\/strong>“. Just as it sounds, whether due to pent-up demand thru the pandemic, or due to saved up vacation days, people are reportedly looking for longer vacations they can experience before getting back to work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, of course, we’ve got some suggestions, thanks to our friend Adam York of Sublime Public Relations:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Galapagos, Amazon + Andes<\/strong>: This two-week-long journey showcases Hacienda Piman<\/a>, Sacha Lodge<\/a> and Scalesia Galapagos Lodge<\/a>, taking guests to the snow-capped volcanoes of the Andes, the depths of the Amazon jungle and the breathtaking mini-worlds of the Galapagos Islands, unspoiled by civilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ride from the outlet of the Columbia River, over the Cascades and Rockies, across the Midwest and Mississippi, then descend the Appalachians to Chesapeake Bay on your own with resources from Adventure Cycling Association<\/a> or join its 93-day TransAm Westward tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Zion by RV<\/strong>: Blacksford<\/a> offers overland RV adventures and an all-inclusive pricing model that includes unlimited miles, z national park pass, and 24-hour roadside assistance. The company curates multi-week road trips by connecting travelers with vetted campsites, guides and other hand-picked attractions. Pick up an RV at their Las Vegas location and spend a couple weeks exploring the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion and Arches via a tricked out Mercedes Sprinter van. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
