Looking for comfortable headphones that have built-in microphone capability \u2013 be sure to take a look at the Andrea SuperBeam SB-405B.\u00a0 Right out of the box, the first thing you notice is how nice they feel over your ears.<\/p>\n

The fit is just how it should be done. Just the right amount of tension to hold them close to your ears without feeling squeezed and just the right amount of cushioning\/padding so they don\u2019t look like a softball cut in half. \u00a0With folding earpieces, the whole unit folds flat for transport and comes in a great travel case.<\/p>\n

Okay, fit is important, but without performance, no one is going to keep using them. No problem here. These guys perform. Listening to music is a real pleasure. Nice bass, with compelling midtones and good treble. They even come with their own USB HD Audio soundcard adapter.\u00a0 The PureAudio external HD quality USB sound card outperforms just about every laptop soundcard in use today.<\/p>\n

On the audio-in side, Andrea has positioned the microphones in each earpiece enabling boom-free \u00a0front-facing pick up of your voice while cancelling background noise for improved intelligibility when using voice recognition software, making Skype calls or multiplayer gaming. Using them with my iPhone, my conversation partners were impressed with the sound quality coming from my end.<\/p>\n

Using the included Audio Commander software, you can completely control the recording process \u2013 from simple volume control to 10 band EQ. You can also select from a variety of beam forming settings as well as making 3D surround recordings.<\/p>\n
