I\u2019ve used a soft sided slip-on case for my Nexus since I bought it, but I\u2019ve always been on the lookout for something more protective and something that would double as a reading stand.<\/p>\n
I found RooCase on the last day of the show and I\u2019m so happy I did. They\u2019ve got an excellent portfolio case that holds my Nexus 7, my stylus and some notepaper or business cards.<\/p>\n
The Nexus 7 is wrapped in a fitted leather frame for the first layer of protection and then that frame fits inside the heavy duty portfolio zip-up case, lined with microfiber. You\u2019ve got a lot of impact and shock protection built in.<\/p>\n
The back of the interior frame is a felt material which enables the tablet to be positioned either horizontally or vertically. The inside of the portfolio has a large oval of matching Velcro. Merely remove the frame, turn 90 degrees and re-engage the Velcro.<\/p>\n
A magnetic, flip out easel folds out on the outside to position the case at a convenient viewing angle.<\/p>\n

About 3-1\/2 inches long and 1-1\/2 inches square, it fits just about anywhere. If that\u2019s still not small enough for you, there\u2019s the QUBE<\/a> at half the size.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let the small size surprise you \u2013 with 2 x 3Watt speakers, this thing can handle all the sound my Nexus 7 can put out without distortion. It uses PVB (passive vibrating bass) technology which seems to deliver.<\/p>\n The cases are all made out of rich aluminum housings in red, black, silver, blue or purple.<\/p>\n Connectivity is Bluetooth or line-in with a specialty cable (supplied).
