This year, the \u201cBiggest Week in American Birding\u201d will take place from May 6-15, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the Black Swamp Bird Observatory, the ten day festival offers everything a birder could want from guided expeditions to presentations to workshops. Daily walks on the famed Magee Marsh boardwalk is one of the most popular.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous venues popular for birding are easily handicapped accessible and most trails are as well, provided there haven\u2019t been recent rains.<\/p>\n<p>Northwest Ohio is known as the \u201cWarbler Capital of the World\u201d and check out the list of species you\u2019re likely to see:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>American Redstart, Black-and-white Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler, Canada Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Golden-winged Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Mourning Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Northern Parula, Northern Waterthrush, Orange-crowned Warbler, Ovenbird, Palm Warbler, Pine Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Wilson\u2019s Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler. \u00a0Several others such as Yellow-throated Warbler and Worm-eating Warbler are possible. \u00a0In addition, the super-rare Kirtland\u2019s Warbler also passes through, and has been seen during this period, but it is not to be expected.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>From shorebirds to woodpeckers, the shores and woods along Ohio\u2019s Northcoast offer dozens of other species as well. Cameras and <a href=\"#productlinks\">binoculars<\/a> will all be getting a workout during the Biggest Week in American Birding.
