International Justice Mission

If you are interested in helping victims of human trafficking and slavery around the world, not just here in the USA, I recently became aware of an organization you might like to help. Known as the International Justice Mission, they have 21 offices in 13 countries.

Their mission is to combat slavery, violence against women and children, and police abuse of power against people who are poor.

They attack the problems through a three-fold approach:

  1. Rescue and restore victims
  2. Bring criminals to justice
  3. Strengthen justice systems

A little investigation on Charity Navigator seems to indicate they are doing a good job with donations, so you could contribute without worry.

From the Charity Navigator report:

You can learn more about their efforts at their website: https://www.ijm.org/ . This might be just the place you were looking for for that end-of-year financial contribution.
