It was yesterday, June 20th

Okay, I admit…I did.  Maybe I’ll blame it on Juneteenth, which seemed to garner much more media attention this year than any year in the past. At least that’s my excuse for now.

I feel bad, because every day we hear about more violence and destruction in Ukraine, causing so many more people to flee and become modern-day refugees.  Searching for a safe haven, many are taking long, arduous, and dangerous trips.

But they aren’t the only ones.  Others may be fleeing gang violence, devastating climate change, famine, and extreme poverty.

Whatever the reason, please join with me in praying for them. In every case, these people are vulnerable to human traffickers who promise a way out, only to later subject them to even worse conditions.
