With schools closed and stay-at-home orders continuing for some time in many states, some parents are feeling overwhelmed. With no previous experience in teaching, many parents are now just realizing the effects of being with their children 24/7/365. Dare we say, it’s getting tense in some homes.

For many families, this is the first time Dad has experienced being home with the kids all day for more than a weekend, and it might not be working out well. One thing many families have done is to encourage their children to spend more time online, to keep things quiet. Unfortunately, that can lead to other problems.

Well, there’s some help here, from the Family Online Safety Institute. They’ve developed a short series of training videos to help today’s parents become good digital parents.

Since many children fall into being trafficked through the Internet, we’re happy to introduce this series to you. Here’s the first video.

In just the first two short episodes, you’ll learn important lessons about:

  • Better ways to engage in conversation with your child
  • Use of parental controls
  • Setting ground rules
  • Establishing consequences for bad decisions

Hope it helps, and good luck.
