Get ready for a pleasant tale about human trafficking<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a show of combined action, 286 human traffickers and human smugglers have been arrested across the globe in just a five-day period (July 5-9). The operation was coordinated by INTERPOL and was reported by Homeland Security Today.US (https:\/\/www.hstoday.us\/<\/a>) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On their website, they reported the following:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Law enforcement officials from 47 countries participated in Operation Liberterra (July 5-9), carrying out some 500,000 inspections at checkpoints and airports as well as at hotspots identified through intelligence and investigations.<\/span><\/p>

Authorities rescued some 430 human trafficking victims<\/span><\/strong> and identified 4,000 irregular migrants originating from 74 different countries. Many of them required medical, psychological and housing assistance and were taken into the care of protective services.<\/span><\/p>

In addition, 60 new transnational investigations were initiated. Fake or stolen identity documents remain the golden ticket when it comes to helping people cross borders illegally, with such documents seized on every continent. On the first day of the operation, authorities in Tanzania arrested a Ugandan bus driver carrying a box of 169 forged passports from Kampala to Dar Es Salaam.<\/span><\/p>

Almost three hundred arrested is a mighty sum, but even more impressive is that 47 countries find this important enough to commit manpower to the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think our prayers are working. For the past few months, I’ve been pleading with the Lord to release just one trafficking victim each day. All of a sudden, He has delivered way more than I requested. But there are more out there, so please keep praying with me. Maybe next time it will be 1,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
