It’s always good when the government looks like it’s going to do something positive for our most vulnerable population. With that in mind, I was pleased to see this release today from the White House Briefing Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This refers to a 66-page report entitled The National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a quick summary of the report from its opening pages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Human trafficking is a stain on our society\u2019s conscience and an affront to the ideals that form the basis of our national strength: liberty, justice, equality, and opportunity. This abhorrent crime targets the most vulnerable in society and exploits them and their labor\u2014stealing away their God-given rights, freedom, and dignity. At the same time, it erodes the safety of our communities, the security of our borders, the strength of our economy, and the rule of law.
