Most everyone would agree that human trafficking needs to end, that it’s a terrible scourge on humanity.\u00a0 But, how can one person help? I guess the simple answer is…<\/p>\n

“Do Something.”<\/h1>\n

That’s why I started this blog. I don’t know who will read it, but I trust in God’s infinite power that those who need to hear it’s message, will somehow find it when the time is right for them. I hope to publish both ideas for those being trafficked as well as those who want to help.<\/p>\n

Find an organization and get involved<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Here are seven organizations that are actively “doing something.”\u00a0 \u00a0For a full explanation of each, see this article by Natalie Jesionka on The Muse<\/a>.\u00a0 Maybe one of them would be of interest to you for further involvement:<\/p>\n

Polaris Project<\/a> runs the National Human Trafficking Hotline.<\/p>\n

Prajwala<\/a> rescues from brothels in India.<\/p>\n

COSA<\/a>\u00a0 provides services for young women trafficked in Thailand.<\/p>\n

Urban Light\u00a0<\/a>works to help men and young boys stuck in trafficked operations.<\/p>\n

Student World Assembly\u2019s Red Card Project\u00a0<\/a>brings attention to trafficking at major sporting events<\/p>\n

Good Weave\u00a0<\/a>helps prevent child labor trafficked in the handmade\u00a0rug industry in Asia<\/p>\n

Empower Foundation<\/a>\u00a0recognizes that some people willing work in the sex trade but still want humane treatment.<\/p>\n

These are just the start of organizations that want to help those exploited by traffickers.\u00a0 We’ll bring you a list of government agencies that are also active in the near future.\u00a0 In the meantime… go do something. Anything.<\/p>\n
