Laura Lanese, a Republican from Grove City, and Marilyn John, a Republican from Richland County, in House Bill 390.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news5cleveland.com\/news\/politics\/ohio-politics\/bill-would-require-testing-of-an-untold-number-of-rape-kits-from-human-trafficking-victims-in-ohio\">breaking story from News 5 TV in Cleveland<\/a>, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"\/\/\/Users\/mobileeditor\/Downloads\/hb390_02_PH.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">House Bill 390\u00a0<\/a>applies the current law for preserving and cataloging evidence to sexual assault examination (SAE) kits to victims and survivors of trafficking.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Ohio consistently ranks in the top states in the country for trafficking cases, but the Human Trafficking Task Force said it is getting worse.<\/em><\/p><p><em>The state has already reported 450 cases of human trafficking, according to the Bureau of Justice.
