If you read these pages regularly, you know I’ve been using the Olloclip for some time now. Well, the game just got improved with the new Olloclip 4-IN-1. Still made of aircraft grade aluminum and still just as stylish looking, they’ve now added a second macro magnification.
With one small device that hides in the palm of your hand, you’ve got an impressive array of auxiliary lenses for your iPhone 5/5S or 4/4S. The precision ground glass of the lenses does a fantastic job of rendering your images with lots of clarity and contrast. Plastic lens competitors just don’t come close.
With the new Olloclip 4-IN-1, you’ll get:
- A fisheye lens with almost 180° view
- A wide angle lens for doubling the standard iPhone viewing angle
- A 10x Macro for great detail from about ¾” away
- A 15x Macro for even greater detail from only about ½” away
The Olloclip will quickly slip over your iPhone, even with a thin screen-protecting film attached. However, many of you always want your phone kept in a case for even more protection. No problem, Olloclip now makes a case for that…and more.
After the CES show, I had the opportunity to test their Quick Flip case which is ideal for a couple reasons. First, it obviously protects your phone; but the corner covering your lens quickly flips up 90 degrees, enabling you to quickly slide on your Olloclip lens without removing it from the case.
But there’s even more:
Even better for you iPhone videographers, the case comes with two ¼”x20 machine-threaded holes in the adapter so you can attach your iPhone to a tripod. After watching my iPhone fly six feet to the ground when other “so-called” iPhone holders didn’t work, this is a comforting thought. With the two mounting holes, you can shoot either landscape or portrait mode.
Olloclip just keeps innovating and we are the winners. Check out their whole line at http://www.olloclip.com.
