If you’ve got the MyCharge HubPlus Universal, you only need one. This handy little 6,700 mAh battery pack comes with two built-in charging cords – one for iPhone/Pad and one for USB-C style Android phones.
The short charging cables store themselves conveniently in recesses in the side of the unit, so you can’t forget them. They are permanently attached, so no fear of leaving them behind. With 6,700 mAh of juice stored onboard, you can charge both an Apple and an Android at the same time, and still have a little charge left.
Have more devices? There’s a separate USB port at the top so you can charge a third device with its own cable.
When you’re done, or even if you haven’t charged your devices completely yet, you can flip down the 110v plug on the back and plug it into the wall. The HubPlus Universal will continue to charge your devices and charge itself at the same time. When you’re done charging, the 110 v plug folds flat into the back of the charger and it’s ready to go for next time.
Four LED lights show the percentage of charge left on the HubPlus Universal.
The Hub Series also has models with cords for iPhone and a Micro-USB device.
Need more juice yet? Check out the HubMax or HubMax Universal – it’s got 10,000 mAh of storage.
I’ve been using MyCharge devices since 2012, and they really last. The case and the cords of the HubPlus are both really durable and I’d expect them to last for years.
Read more reviews of other MyCharge devices I’ve tested:
RazorPlus – super thin. Got this in 2014 and I’m still using it.
Adventure Ultra – 13,400 mAh with 110v outlet
Portable Power Outlet – 20,000 mAh with 110v outlet
Power Base QC – not a battery pack, but it will charge four devices simultaneously
Disclosure: MyCharge provided us with a HubPlus Universal so we could do this evaluation. Opinions however, are and always will be strictly our own.
