At just under four pounds, it’s light enough to haul from the van to the shoreline without a second thought, but it feels surprisingly substantial once you’re in it. The aluminum frame and forged hubs fit perfectly, even as I shifted around to get comfortable. The 13-inch seat height is a nice middle ground; it’s low enough to feel relaxed and high enough that I wasn’t struggling to stand up after an hour of sitting.

The standout feature for me was the pulley system in the armrests. During a trip to the lake, I’d spend the early evening sitting upright to enjoy snacks by the fire, then simply pull the straps to drop into a full recline for stargazing. The headrest actually stayed put thanks to those isolator mounts. It felt less like a flimsy camp stool and more like a piece of furniture that actually moved with me.
