After taking the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 Power Station along on a car camping trip to Pymatuning Lake, it quickly proved its worth as a reliable travel companion, and has earned a permanent spot just inside my van’s back door.

Under the sturdy exterior, the Jump 2400 houses a 1408Wh LiFePO4 battery. In practical terms, that kind of capacity gives you serious freedom. During our week car camping at Pymatuning Lake, it sat securely on the rear shelf of the van, held firmly in place with a simple bungee cord.

Safer, Longer-Lasting Battery Chemistry

VTOMAN built this unit using LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery chemistry, which is a massive upgrade over older traditional lithium-ion packs. LiFePO4 cells are chemically stable, highly resistant to heat, and rated for 3,000 full charge cycles before dropping to 80% of their original capacity.

To put that into perspective, if you cycled the battery every single day, you would still get over 8 years of dependable use before seeing noticeable degradation. For most weekend warriors, outdoor enthusiasts, and emergency preppers, this battery will easily last a decade or more. Plus, it features a built-in battery management system with 10 core protections against over-charging, over-discharging, and short circuits.

Inverter Output That Handles Real-World Loads

The FlashSpeed 2400 delivers 2400W of continuous Pure Sine Wave AC power, paired with a 3200W peak surge rating. Pure sine wave power delivers the same clean electricity you get from standard home wall outlets, keeping delicate electronics safe from power spikes and preventing motor hum in sensitive appliances. That’s important for you road warriors with laptops, to protect their delicate electronic circuits.

With 2400W on tap, you can plug in high-draw resistive loads like lights, space heaters, toasters, ovens, and coffee makers (as long as they stay under 2400 watts). During our camping trip, it easily powered my power-hungry Lenovo 240W laptop while brewing a fresh pot of coffee at the same time without missing a beat. The station also features VTOMAN’s constant-power technology, which allows it to run certain heavy resistive loads up to 3200W by dropping the voltage slightly rather than shutting down completely.

Recharging Options and Real-World Use

Weighing in at 42 lbs. (19KG) with dimensions of 15.5×11.10.6”  (393*280*270mm), it is hefty enough to pack serious power, yet compact enough to slide neatly into a van setup. Recharging is straightforward using the DC input ports which accept up to 600W max. You can also use a standard computer cord to charge it, preventing you from needing a separate power brick adapter. Back at our campsite, we managed a 1-hour or less recharge time each night from shore power, leaving us fully topped off and ready for another full day of power every morning away from our site.

The unit also supports pass-through charging, meaning you can actively recharge the power station from a wall or solar source while simultaneously drawing power to run your own devices. THIS IS A MUST-HAVE FEATURE FOR ME.

(VTOMAN does recommend avoiding prolonged use of high-power AC appliances while the station is charging to reduce battery wear. For frequent pass-through operation, lower-power DC and USB devices are preferable.)

The unit also features a <10ms UPS. That keeps your power running without a blink. Protects home office, network & sensitive electronics from outages.

As with many power stations this unit does not have rubber port covers or an IP rating against dust and moisture, meaning you’ll want to keep the unit protected under a van shelf or tent vestibule if bad weather rolls in.

Most power stations require you to pack a completely separate jump box or wait around for roadside assistance if your vehicle battery dies. The FlashSpeed 2400 includes a dedicated 12V jump-starting port right on the front panel. For remote campsites, winter trailheads, or emergency road trips, having a jump starter built right into your power station eliminates extra clutter in your vehicle. The accessory actually stores in a flip-up compartment atop the 2400.
